Premier Performance Rat Rod: Our Summer Project

Premier Performance Rat Rod: Our Summer Project

Premier Performance has been a SEMA member for going on 10 years now.  As a WD, we’ve focused our builds for the annual show in November on products that are available for popular new models in our space.  We’ve typically started with a stock late model truck or Jeep and then tricked it out from there with various products from our vendors.  For 2015, our SEMA build is a complete departure from what we’ve done in the past.  Anyone can bolt on parts to a new rig.  What we’ve decided to do this year is highlight some of our vendors in a completely unconventional way and show that we have the sales team that can do a whole lot more than just sell parts.  That’s the beauty of the aftermarket, anything goes and a lot of the product we have to offer isn’t limited to year, make, and model.

Two vehicles of different eras, a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 and a 1940’s Dodge 2-ton, have been undergoing a metamorphosis over the past several months.  In September, the child of these two old timers will barely resemble one or the other.  A rat rod at first glance, this truck will be that only on the surface.  A typical rat rod is a conglomeration of or pieces and parts from various vehicles, thrown together to get down the road — in a manner of speaking.  Most rat rods induce cold sweats and involuntary bowel movements, just attempting to drive the speed limit.  Our intention is to have our rat rod be the polar opposite.  A conglomeration of separate vehicles it might be but with the help of our vendors, this truck with be state of the art and we fully expect it to drive like a purpose built street machine.  You won’t typically fine American Force Wheels, Nitrous Express,  and a compound turbocharged, fully built 12v Cummins (ATS Diesel & Industrial Injection) on a rat rod.  We won’t divulge too many details at this point, you’ll just have to come visit us at SEMA to see the real deal in person — booth 21451."Six Pack"

The truck is far from done at this point but we wanted to give a shout out to all of our sponsors that have been a great help so far.  We couldn’t do it without their support!  Stay tuned for more updates as our epic SEMA build progresses!
